Digital Divide: 1 2 3 4 5

I had the pleasure of interviewing Chuck Nelson the other day. He’s been integral in helping Brady and Brandon get their film off the ground. He’s a recipient of the Ohio Citizen Action Enduring Courage Award and West Virginia’s Environmental Council Laura Foreman Award for Activist of the year in 2008, and is involved in organizations throughout West Virginia and Central Appalachia. Interestingly enough his house marks the digital divide line, at least for my service provider, because as soon as I left his property my smart phone was useless.

Fortunately the recording function worked and I was able to sit down and talk with him about the digital divide, media campaigns, divestment, and what he’d want his own hashtag to be.
